Following the conclusion of voting for the last round of the Lok Sabha elections on Saturday, a BJP employee was fatally shot in West Bengal's Nadia district, according to authorities.
At a tea stall, a guy shot Hafizul Sheikh, a recent BJP member, in the head.
According to sources, the police have located the perpetrator and have identified him.
According to police sources, Sheikh's attacker—whom they have named—has a criminal history as well.
Additionally, the authorities refuted rumors that Sheikh had been beheaded, claiming that bullets had scarred his head.
According to Sheikh's family, he was slain just after joining the BJP. The BJP has accused the CPI(M) and the Trinamool Congress of attacking its employees.
"In West Bengal, the killings have begun. Another BJP worker, Hafizul Sheikh, was killed. Amit Malviya, the chairman of the BJP's IT cell, posted on X that stated, "His body, swollen, bullet ridden, head chopped and missing, was found lying by the road side.”
According to Malviya, minorities in the region were joining the BJP prior to the Lok Sabha elections under Sheikh's leadership. If Muslims do not cast ballots for them, TMC still has affection for them. Muslims in Diamond Harbour were also singled out, he claimed, as many of them supported CPI(M) candidate Pratikur Rehman.
